Landscaping equipment financing

Mowers, trucks and trailers — the fleet that is the business.

A landscaping company is its fleet: commercial mowers, trucks, trailers and the attachments that let one crew do five properties a day. Financing that fleet — rather than draining spring cash to buy it — is how operators add crews without starving the season that pays for them.

What the fleet costs to grow

Adding a crew is really adding a truck, a trailer and two or three machines — a five-figure package that must be ready before the crew earns a dollar. Equipment financing covers the package at asset rates, new or used, and the crew's own season pays it down. The alternative — one machine at a time out of cash flow — grows at the speed of leftovers.

Repair, replace, or finance the upgrade

A commercial mower's downtime lands on scheduled properties the same day. The working rule: repairs under a quarter of replacement cost on a machine with life left are cash decisions; repeat failures on an ageing unit are replacement decisions, financed so the new machine earns while it pays. Standing crews waiting on a workshop are the most expensive option on the list.

Buy in the off-season

Winter is when dealers negotiate and when your account can least afford it — which is exactly what financing is for. Ordering financed equipment in the trough, for delivery before the season, captures the pricing without the cash hit, and the payments start against the season that uses the machines.

The rest of the money picture

Payroll and materials through the growing season ride on steady weekly deposits — and where commercial contracts pay on 30 to 60 day terms, factoring or a line of credit bridges the wait. Seasonality itself is no obstacle to funding: state where the season falls and the file is read in context.

If snow removal or holiday lighting fills your winter, say so — off-season revenue strengthens the file twice, as deposits and as proof the fleet earns year-round. A truck that plows in January is a stronger financing case than one that sleeps until April.
